Workshop A focussed on the exploration of word and image. By using analytical strategies of the basic principles of graphic design practice
we had the opportunity to explore this relationship and the interpretation and generation of messages within visual communication.
Workshop B design and politics allowed us to deconstruct the news. The project aims to look deeper at the visual communications within the
media and its power in manipulating people’s interest. The workshop gave us a deeper understanding and awareness of the relationships and
tensions which exist in the media and the designer’s role within this.
